Compassionate support for adolescents and adults, in person and online
Who I Work With
I work with adolescents (16 years and older) and adults, offering support both in person and through online telepsychology sessions — depending on what feels most comfortable and accessible for you.
Areas of Focus
Depression
Support through persistent sadness, emptiness, low motivation and disconnection from life.
Anxiety
Understanding the roots of excessive worry, racing thoughts and panic, and building tools to manage it.
Trauma
A safe space to process past experiences that continue to affect your emotional well-being.
Loss & Bereavement
Support through grief after the loss of a loved one or other major life losses, at your own pace.
Adjustment & Life Transitions
Navigating life changes such as moving, career shifts, parenthood or health challenges with clarity and resilience.
Anger & Emotion Regulation
Understanding emotional triggers and building healthier, more balanced ways of responding.
Relationship Difficulties
Exploring patterns, improving communication and fostering healthier connections.
Personality Difficulties
Insight, support and tools for long-standing patterns that cause distress or conflict.
Modalities Used
CBT
(Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)
Focuses on the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. It helps you identify unhelpful thinking patterns and provides practical tools to change your response to difficult situations.
DBT
(Dialectical Behaviour Therapy)
A type of CBT designed for intense emotions. It focuses on four key skill areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and building healthy relationships.
BWRT
(BrainWorking Recursive Therapy)
A neuroscience-based approach that works in the "cognitive gap" before a conscious thought occurs. It aims to rapidly "reroute" automatic brain responses to triggers like phobias, anxiety, or trauma.
IFS
(Internal Family Systems)
Views the mind as a "family" of different parts (like the movie Inside Out). Therapy involves helping your "Core Self" lead and heal these internal parts, especially those carrying pain or protective roles.
Compassion-Based Therapy
Focuses on developing a kind and supportive relationship with yourself. It is particularly effective for those struggling with high levels of self-criticism or shame.
Schema Therapy
Combines elements of CBT and attachment theory to address deeply entrenched, long-term patterns (schemas) that typically develop in childhood. It aims to heal unmet emotional needs and break self-defeating habits.
Mindfulness
Practices that cultivate present-moment awareness without judgment. It helps you observe your thoughts and feelings as they happen, reducing reactivity to stress.
Somatic Trauma Approaches
Body-based therapies (such as Somatic Experiencing) that recognize trauma is often "stored" in the nervous system as physical tension. These methods focus on releasing pent-up energy and restoring a sense of safety within the body rather than just talking through memories.
Hours
Monday to Friday, 9am – 4pm. If you're going through a particularly difficult time, I'll do my best to arrange an extra session as soon as possible.
Session Fees
Each session runs for 50 minutes. The session fee is $220 (GST included). Payment can be made via internet banking, either before or on the day of your session.
We kindly ask that all EFT payments are completed on the same day as your session. Should you require a different payment schedule, we are happy to discuss this with you prior to your visit.
Cancellation Policy
Your appointments are reserved especially for you. We respectfully request at least 24 hours' notice by email or text if you need to adjust your booking. Beacuse it is difficult to fill slots on short notice, a fee of 50% of the session applies to late cancellations.
Thank you for respecting our time and helping our schedule run smoothly. We recognise that emergencies occur and will consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
